Environmental Policy
Our proprietary software – Zeco Utilities Manager – is a scalable cloud-based solution that allows organisations to see everything they need to know about when and how gas, electricity, water or other sources of energy are being used at their business.
This information enables businesses to see where and when wastage is happening so they can make changes to stop this wastage, reduce their utility spend and carbon footprint. Our services help businesses to operate as efficiently as possible and encourage sustained behavioural change with regard to utilities.
We appreciate that our activities and services impact the environment and we are committed to the continual improvement of our environmental performance. We aim to achieve this by setting environmental objectives and targets, in line with the following commitments:
• Maintain an Environmental Management System to ISO14001 Certification Standard.
• Assess and manage the environmental impacts of our operations.
• Raise environmental awareness of all staff.
• Encourage and facilitate staff engagement in both internal and external environmental projects.
• Comply with all relevant environmental legislation and other requirements.
• Prevent pollution to air, water and land.
• Encourage sustainable consumption associated with our activities to minimise unnecessary waste of electricity, fuel and materials.
• Consider environmental credentials of our supply chain and source locally where practical.
